Personal Ancestral File – commonly called PAF – is a solid genealogy software package designed by The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, a religion well-known for their pursuit of genealogical research—and it's free! PAF has been designed for easy data input; in fact, this program set the standard that most other genealogy programs follow to import and export gedcom files.

Feature Set:  

Personal Ancestral File will allow the beginner, weekend and professional genealogist to accomplish their research in an organized, efficient manner. However, higher ranked products will take your reports a step further; you can produce twice as many reports in other programs compared to those offered by Personal Ancestral File (see product comparisons) .

Ease of Use:  

Personal Ancestral File with its intuitive design is very well organized and makes it easy to jump right in and get started recording your family history information.

Reporting & Publishing:  

This product is very easy to install. No problems.

Help/Documentation:  

Personal Ancestral File has several options available in the Help menu to assist the user in optimizing his efforts.
