Personal Ancestral File – commonly called PAF – is a solid genealogy software package designed by The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, a religion well-known for their pursuit of genealogical research—and it's free! PAF has been designed for easy data input; in fact, this program set the standard that most other genealogy programs follow to import and export gedcom files.
Personal Ancestral File will allow the beginner, weekend and professional genealogist to accomplish their research in an organized, efficient manner. However, higher ranked products will take your reports a step further; you can produce twice as many reports in other programs compared to those offered by Personal Ancestral File (see product comparisons) .
